Eforie South Water Treatement Plant hosted a meeting of all regional operators in Romania involved in various EU-funded operational programs.
 
On 4-9 June, at Constanta took place a Operational Reunion with the regional water operators and the Monitoring Committee for the Environmental Operational Programme. These events were attended by representatives of the European Commission, of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration, of the Ministry of European funding, of the National Regulatory Authority for Public Services, the National Council for Solving Complaints, National Public Health Institute, of the Romanian Waters National Administration, of the Romanian Academy, of the National Regulatory Authority of Public Acquisition and representatives of the largest regional water operators nationwide.
Meetings of the two events were focused on the implementation and development of EU-funded grant programs within the Environment Sector Operational Programmes. Considering that RAJA Company carried one of the most ambitious projects with EU funding support, in the meeting of the Monitoring Committee had been scheduled a visit to Eforie South Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The approximately 80 representatives of the central and regional authorities who visited South Eforie Wastewater Treatment Plant have shown interest for the advanced technology used for wastewater treatment and also for the whole procedure of the contract execution. The project "Rehabilitation and modernization of the Eforie South Wastewater Treatment" is financed by the Cohesion Fund. The grant agreement was signed with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change on March 3rd, 2011, for 139,739,789 RON. The station was opened on April 29th, 2013, and has a maximum capacity of 745 liters/second. The wastewater treatment plant retrieves and processes wastewater from Eforie, Agigea, Tuzla, Techirghiol, Costineşti and Schitu.
During the visit at Eforie South Wastewater Treatment Plant, Benoit Nadler, the European Commission representative for Romania, said: “If there were more companies like RAJA, Romania would absorb more EU funds. The active management showed by RAJA makes us optimistic about the ability to complete all the investment objectives with European money in time“.
