Media Advisory - US Marines Arrive in Romania

Good Morning,

Nearly 100 United States Marines and Sailors have arrived to Romania's Mihail Kogalniceanu Airfield, near Constanta, in support of Black Sea Rotational Force.

Black Sea Rotational Force is a Security Cooperationa Marine Air Ground Task Force that has deployed to the region to train in partnership with Romanian Land, Naval and Air Forces; as well as the military forces of many other partner-nations from the Black Sea, Caucasus and Balkan regions.

The Black Sea Rotational Force deployment will officially begin Monday, May 17, and is scheduled to continue through July.
