Citi Credit Card holders benefit from a new and unprecedented advantage: the opportunity to visit the most important museums in Romania free of charge. For the first time on the banking products and services market in Romania, this benefit is the result of a partnership between Citibank Romania and The Ministry of Culture and National Patrimony.

Every Citi Credit Card holder can enjoy this benefit anytime because the number of free entrances is unlimited. Moreover, at each visit at the museums, the Citi Credit Card Classic holders benefit from a free entrance for one more person, while the Citi Credit Card Gold holders benefit from free entrances for two other persons.

Kelemen Hunor, the Minister of Culture and National Patrimony, believes that this is a laudable initiative through which the cultural consumption is being encouraged. "All initiatives that aim to popularize culture will benefit from the support of the Ministry. The values in Romania's museums deserve this visibility and I hope this action should also inspire other economic agents because it is a noble investment in our spiritual values", the Minister declared on Citibank Romania's project.

Adrian Vlase, Cards Head for Citibank Romania, said: "We have built a tradition of continuously adding value to our customers through innovative offers. This partnership with the Ministry of Culture and National Patrimony and with the Administration Company of the Bran Domain is a premiere in the Romanian banking system and certifies once again Citi's commitment to the local market and to its clients. Moreover, through this partnership we wish to encourage the appreciation of the authentic culture of Romania, "

The museums included in this program are:

  • in Bucharest: The National Museum of Art, The National Museum of Contemporary Art, The National Museums of Maps and Old Books, The National Museum of History, The National Museum of the Village "Dimitrie Gusti", The National Museum of the Romanian Peasant, The National Museum of Natural History "Grigore Antipa", The Arts Museum "Vasile Grigore - painter and collector" and The National Museum "George Enescu";
  • in Cluj Napoca: The National Museum of Transilvania History;
  • in Iasi: The National Museum Complex of Moldova;
  • in Sibiu: The National Museum "Bruckenthal";
  • in Sinaia: The National Museum "Peles";

Also, in partnership with the Administration Company of the Bran Domain, Citibank Romania offers to the Citi Credit Card holders free entrances at the Bran Castle, in the same conditions as for the partnership with the Ministry of Culture and National Patrimony.
