deschidere_psd1.jpgThe election year 2008 brought to PSD about 2 million lei from donations

Every election year, according to political affinities or "indebtedness" of some natural or juristic persons to some political leaders, the budgets of the parties are fed by more or less consistent donations.

Not long ago we submitted to your attention the list of PD-L [Democrat Liberal Party] and PSD sponsors from the Black Sea coast. A more thorough check of the list including the juristic persons which in year 2008 donated to PSD sums of money more than 10 national minimum gross salaries, revealed the fact that there were 26 contributing companies from Constanţa. In this way, PSD moneybox was fed with 823,237 lei. We should not miss out the fact that, besides this official figure, PSD budget was enriched by other donations which did not exceed 10 national minimum gross salaries, and all these donations cumulated make up a pretty consistent sum which will never be known.

The most charitable company was Holding Hondor Stil Ltd (197,937 lei), followed by General Concrete Ltd Cernavodă (150,000 lei), Imobis Ltd from Cluj (50,000 lei) and Double Bridgexim Ltd (38,000 lei). The list of the companies which fed the PSD budget goes on as following: Romadria Ltd (12,500 lei), Auto Promec Ltd (11,300 lei), Elmex Ltd (12,800 lei), Riadenil Ltd (8,000 lei), Caviem Line from Galaţi (10,000 lei), Termostar 2000 Ltd (7,700 lei), BDG Import Ltd from Bucharest (36,000 lei), Plus Media Com Ltd (10,000 lei), Oil Depol Service Ltd (20,000 lei), Socum Trans Ltd (20,000 lei), Convita Plast (15,000 lei), Grădinariu Import Export (10,000 lei), Eucass Ltd (15,000 lei), Marcus Uranus Ltd (25,000 lei), Sport Turism Ltd from 23 August (25,000 lei), Com Util Ltd (20,000 lei), Comp. Artistică Mix Muzic Ltd, from Bucharest (36,000 lei), Consal Trade Ltd (10,000 lei), Progetto 2000 Rom Ltd, from Braşov (15,000 lei), First Grain Ltd (10,000 lei) and Argos SA (35,000 lei).

Generosity on one's own name

The list of the companies who paid their "fees" to PSD is naturally continued by Constanţa inhabitants who wanted to help the party to cover all the expenditures caused by 2008 election year.

To our surprise, the generosity of these persons was, in most of the cases, superior to the companies enumerated above. The list of the natural persons who donated for PSD gathered 25 individuals and the total sum offered to social-democrats reached 1,011,600 lei. In top 3 of personal generosity, we find on the 1st position Costel Cristian Şapte (100,000 lei), followed by Sorin Gabriel Strutinschi (80,000 lei) and Daniel George Papari (70,000 lei). And the list goes on with Daniel Georgescu, Gabriel George Vişan - former candidate in the 4th college for deputy position, presently local councilman, Gelu Dae - president of Constanţa Municipal PSD subsidiary, Mihalache Muşat - municipal councilman, Teodor Marius Fătu, Cristian Gheorghe Darie - vice-president of Constanţa County Council, Ereis Husein and Narcis Husein, who donated 60,000 lei each; Antonella Marinescu - the deputy of the 9th college (55,000 lei); Ozghiur Iuseim (50,000 lei); Adrian Vonica, Costineşti manager, and Ozghen Husein, who doanted 40,000 lei each; Mircea Marcu and Paul Bocănete - county councilman, who contributed with 15,000 lei each; Marin Chelaru and Alexandru Florian Ilie - chief of the parliamentary cabinet of senator  Alexandru Mazăre, who contributed with 10,000 lei each;

Nicolae Buriac (13,500 lei); Cătălina Georgeta Avram (9,000 lei); Bogdan Teodorov (5,500 lei); Vasile Chirondojan - municipal councilman (5,600 lei); Gheorghe Cristian Barbalescu (6,000 lei) and Vasile Cîju - former manager of marketplaces (7,000 lei).

Having interests is expensive

The generosity of many donors is based on liaisons in the business area, which led to nice profits through the years. For example, Costel Şapte, the most free-handed donor, is very close to PSD mayor from Mihail Kogălniceanu village and Valer Mureşan, the one who turned Bravo Top Ltd into a profitable company. He managed to grasp some lands around the airport. Then he purchased lands in Constanţa, one of them being a 500 m2 grass plot next to Suceava St, and there a 7 floor building will be raised; the zone urban plan has already been approved by Ordinance of Local Municipal Council no 253/2008. First Grain company, activating in the field of agriculture, also helped the social-democrats with the sum of 10,000 lei and we should bear in mind that the legal representative of this company is nobody but Dumitru Manolache, PSD county councilman.

Ozghen Husein is another prosper businessman. He owns shares in 8 companies: Elcor Ltd, Cofetărie Pizzerie Mimoza Ltd, Eni-Nar Internaţional Ltd, NG Plus Exchange Ltd, Hermosa Morena Ltd, Tomis Marketing & Services Ltd, Asociaţii Ltd and Royal Distribution Services Ltd. It's just that for Rozal Distribution Services Ltd and Tomis Marketing & Services Ltd, Ozghen Husein is associated to Radu Mazăre, Sorin Strutinschi and Nicuşor Constantinescu. For Asociaţii Ltd, company which deals with lease and sublease of rented or owned assets, the gentleman we are talking about is associated to other PSD influential members: Cristian Darie, Constanţa County Council vice-president, and his brother, Valentin Darie. We have another interesting combination in the case of Cofetărie Pizzerie Mimoza Ltd. The legal representative of the company is Iuseim Ozghiur, and among the associates, there we also find Narcis Husein, both on the list of PSD sponsors for election year 2008, taking over significant donations. And this is just the top of the iceberg in local business liaisons, which led to the allotment of certain sums of money, in respect to the interests of the political team led by Mazăre and Constantinescu.
