COSMOTE Romania announces HTC Desire HD

COSMOTE Romania announces that the new HTC Desire HD, an Android-based smartphone aiming browsing addicted users, will be available in its stores before Christmas holidays.

Powered by the Android 2.2 Operating System with HTC Sense, Desire HD comes with a 1GHz processor, 1.5GB internal storage and a MicroSD card slot of up to 32 GB (on separate purchase), which makes the device a real smartphone in combination with the connectivity features: 3G HSDPA up to 14.4 Mbps, HSUPA up to 5.76 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and USB 2.0.

Other features to be highlighted at HTC Desire HD are the accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate and the proximity sensor for auto turn-off, the 8 MP photo camera with face detection, dual flash led and a 720P HD camcorder, 4.3 inch LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, Dolby Mobile and SRS virtual sound and many others.

The phone also comes with the new HTC Sense user interface, an experience that offers a variety of enhancements that improve how people capture, create, share and access multimedia content. Moreover, the users of HTC Desire HD benefit from HTC Hub application that enables them to add more content for their phone. With HTC Hub they can browse applications, music, ringtones, wallpapers and a whole lot of other cool offerings and send them to their phone. In order to access the service, all the customers have to do is to make an account on HTCsense.com. For example customers can archive their contacts agenda, messages or calls history using a PC, they can personalize their phone with HTC exclusive content, and they can block the phone remotely if it is lost or stolen and even delete all their personal data. With a newly created camera experience, people can record HD videos or capture and edit images with a variety of fun camera effects. With HTC Locations, a new differentiated online mapping experience, people have instant, on-demand mapping without download delays or incurring mobile roaming charges.

HTC Desire HD will be available in December in COSMOTE stores at 1,375 lei with a 2-year contract with COSMOTE Perfect pentru Tine 930 (930 national and international minutes per month, plus 2,000 minutes in-network, at 62 euro per month), and at 2,399 lei, VAT included, without subscription.
