During July 18-19, 2009, at the Patriarchy Residence, under the preside
of His Beatitude the Patriarch Daniel, was held the work meeting of the Holy
Sinod of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
According to the orthodox church declarations, among the decisions taken was also turning the Eparchy of Low Danube into Archbishoprics.
