Established on June 15th, 1995, the Romanian Association of Water (RAW) is an independent and professional association, that promotes, defends and supports professional interests of its members - public water supply and sewerage operators and specialized companies - with public authorities, trade unions and other legal entities, both nationally and internationally.

The main objectives and forms of activity of the Association include initiating, developing and promoting strategies and investment programs, supporting the introduction of scientific and technical progress in water field and provideing technical advice, management and international cooperation. All these actions are coordinated by different specialized committees of the RAW committees, which meet quarterly to solve any issues arising and to promote and implement new programs and ideas for development.

Yesterday, in Sibiu, took place the meeting of the National Leadership of the Romanian Association of Water, which was attended by almost all the members, with a presence of 94%. On the agenda there was included the election of the new President of RAW. Given the remarkable progress made by SC RAJA SA in recent years and the active participation of Romanian Employers Water (whose president is the CEO of RAJA) to develop and promote strategies and development programs in the water sector, Felix Stroe was elected unanimously the new president of RAW.

"Romanian Association of Water continues the existing collaboration with relevant organizations in the country and abroad and will define new partnerships with relevant international structures to maintain the catalyst role in the development of projects with countries in the region. For the Romanians operators, the main purpose is to provide conditions to continue the programs already underway and to access new grants. Thereby, the exchange of ideas, solutions and techniques among managers, users, designers and researchers will continue”, said the new President of RAW, Felix Stroe.
