Bucharest, June 09 - Banca Romaneasca is moving its headquarters, starting 1st of August, to the Euro Tower building, the first green office building in Bucharest, built by Cascade Group.

"The headquarters relocation will surely bring a greater efficiency in the bank's activity. The business units will be concentrated in Euro Tower building, while the "back office" activities will continue to be performed in Pipera headquarters. This is an important decision and is part of Banca Romaneasca strategy to streamline its operations, also reflecting the long-term commitment of the main shareholder National Bank of Greece to continue its ongoing business development in Romania ", said Marinos Stratopoulos, General Manager of Banca Romaneasca.

Banca Romaneasca has rented a surface of 3250 sqm in Euro Tower, being located from the 4th floor to the 7th floor of the building, while at the ground floor, on 250 sqm, a branch will function.

Euro Tower building is located in North-Central Bucharest, at the junction of Barbu Vacarescu Street and Lacul Tei Boulevard. The first green building in Bucharest has rooftops covered with trees and a large green area on the ground floor which will be open to the general public. The green areas will be used for leisure, but will also contribute in a significant way to heat absorption. Due to the sophisticated lighting, heating and cooling systems, the energy consumption is estimated to reduce up to 30%, comparing with a standard A-class building.

The developer of the building is Cascade Group, local subsidiary of East and Central European Venture Capital BV, registered in the Netherlands.
